The gallery-apartment is the triumph of collector Achille Armani, who, having spent a lifetime devoted to his greatest passion--sourcing precious tapestries from the Caucuses, Turkey, and China--has appointed his cavernous Piacenza jewel-box with antique textiles of exquisite quality, and antique furnishings brought back from his travels.
