PRINT IN GILT FRAME

A printed color lithograph entitled, "Australia News From Home". Mounted on matte taupe backing in a gilt beveled frame, the image bears the stamp of renowned English printmaker George Baxter. Baxter is credited with the invention of commercially viable color printing, and was known for the way he combined relief and intaglio printing methods to richly colored effect.
