BJ26 | Glazed Planter Vase

Richly dimensional multi-colored ceramic pot, in shades of mustard, ink, moss, and terracotta. Thick daubs of glaze have been applied in an energetic and abstract pattern, emphasizing the swirling centripetal energy of the vessel’s shape. 

Produced by American pottery company Peters & Reed, the pot is part of their marbleized glaze series. Known for using local Zanesville, Ohio red terracotta clay, the company produced many ranges of functional, and later decorative art-ware in the Arts and Crafts style.
