Decorated Mirror

Dramatic early 19th-century carved and gilt wood mirror with painted faux bois accents from France.  Flanked on either side by two reeded columns with conical finial bases, the mirror features a palmette motif border and pediment crowned by a crest inscribed with a carved shell detail.
